Henry Sy is Philippines’ richest – Forbes Asia
Henry Sy, the 83 year old, low-profile, shopping mall mogul, topped Forbes Asia’s list of Philippines’ richest. Sy and his family’s wealth has increased by US$1.4 billion despite the global financial crisis, rising from No. 2 position last year.
Lucio Tan and family moved from third to second place with a total networth of $1.5 million. But Tan’s wealth is still down by $100 million from last year.
Last year’s richest, Jaime Zobel de Ayala and family, has dropped to third place, losing a whopping $800 million. Ouch!
The top 10 richest in the Philippines are:
1. Henry Sy & family; US$3.1 billion
2. Lucio Tan & family; $1.5 billion
3. Jaime Zobel de Ayala & family; $1.2 billion
4. Andrew Tan; $700 million

The rich people work harder than what we think. In order to maintain the high cost of living, they have to do more work and responsibilities. Kaya may hirap pa din hehe.
