Sept 7 and 21 2009 declared holiday by PGMA
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared September 7, Monday, as special non-working holiday. This has been declared by Malacanang as a national day of mourning on the burial of Eraño “Ka Erdy” Manalo.
Eraño Manalo was the executive minister of Iglesia Ni Cristo and the son of the former executive minister, Felix Manalo. Eraño Manalo died of cardiopulmonary illness last August 31.
Meanwhile, September 21 was confirmed by the Office of Muslim Affairs as the end of Eid’l Fitr, or more commonly known as the feast of Ramadan. So this means, September 21, Monday is also a non-working holiday.
